UPP welcomes two new plan participants

Eligible members from Victoria University and the Trent University Staff Plan joined UPP on January 1, 2025.

This week, University Pension Plan (UPP) proudly welcomed new participants to the Plan. As of January 1st, 2025, eligible members of the Contributory Pension Plan for Employees Represented by OPSEU Local 365 and Exempt Administrative Staff of Trent University (Trent Staff Plan) and the Victoria University General Pension Plan (Victoria University Plan) have officially joined UPP.

We’re deeply grateful for the collective efforts of our partners at Trent and Victoria, alongside UPP’s staff and Joint Sponsors—including member and employer representatives—to bring new eligible employees into the UPP community. We look forward to supporting our new members as we deliver on our vision of providing secure, lifelong retirement income for the university sector.”

Participants of the Trent Staff Plan now join their colleagues in the Trent Faculty Plan, who became members of UPP on January 1, 2022.
