UPP is delighted to be named the winner of the Sustainable Investing Award at the Canadian Investment Review’s 2022 Pension Leadership Awards.
The Awards are a celebration of plan sponsors and pension investors who demonstrate exceptional leadership and tireless work to ensure strong investment outcomes for their plan members.
The Sustainable Investing Award recognizes leadership and significant progress in incorporating sustainability into the investment process, including practices related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters across asset classes, as well as people management within an organization.
The award capped off a year of many sustainability-related milestones for UPP, including the release of our Climate Action Plan, which details our formal commitment to net-zero portfolio emissions and operational emissions by 2040, and the path we will take to deliver on those commitments.
