University Pension Plan Ontario (UPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Charette as Chief Pension Services Officer.
As Chief Pension Services Officer, Pierre will lead UPP’s Pension Services function, providing strategic leadership for member and employer service delivery, pension administration, and operational excellence. He will oversee the continued evolution of UPP’s service model and support the organization’s commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for members, employers, and employee partners.
Pierre joins UPP with more than 35 years of experience in pensions, benefits, consulting, and operations leadership. Throughout his career, he has led large retirement and benefits teams, strengthened operating models, integrated pension administration and consulting functions, and built strong relationships across complex stakeholder environments. Most recently, he served as Director, Pension & Benefits at CN and previously held senior leadership roles with WTW.

In his role, Pierre will oversee continued implementation of UPP’s operating model aligned with the organization’s strategic imperative of Serve with Care and help guide the ongoing evolution of service delivery and operational capabilities across the Pension Services function.
