“I am deeply honoured to be recognized by The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business as the 2022 CEO of the Year and Corporate Citizen of the Year. I share this award with all of UPP—what we’ve achieved this year has been a collective effort and would not have been possible without their tireless support and commitment,” shared Ms. Zvan.
“Barbara is a truly exceptional leader who has dedicated her career to enhancing the security and sustainability of defined benefit pensions. We’re proud of her inspiring leadership, both at UPP and in the global financial community,” said Gale Rubenstein, Chair, UPP Board of Trustees.
Ms. Zvan became the inaugural president and CEO of UPP on July 21, 2020. Trained as an actuary, Ms. Zvan was formerly the Chief Risk and Strategy Officer (CRSO) for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
