UPP congratulates WLUFA and Wilfrid Laurier University on ratification of new agreement

New agreement includes a commitment to transition WLUFA members from the Wilfrid Laurier Pension Plan to UPP.

University Pension Plan (UPP) is pleased to congratulate Wilfrid Laurier University and the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association (WLUFA) on the ratification of an agreement that commits WLUFA to provide consent on behalf of its members to transition from the Wilfrid Laurier Pension Plan to UPP, the jointly sponsored pension plan for the university sector.

“We’re very pleased that the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association and Wilfrid Laurier University have affirmed their commitment to transition their pension plan to UPP,” said Barbara Zvan, President and Chief Executive Officer, UPP. “This marks an important milestone, and we look forward to supporting Wilfrid Laurier University and their other employee and union groups as they consider a move to UPP.”
